Hi there,
recently, I bought an IBM Thinkpad T22 and installed SuSE 9.1
Unfortunately, there is no example for SuSE an this Laptop und I am a newbie...
Well, obviously, SuSE is not detecting my card correctly, or there is no matching driver.
This card is supporting OpenGL, but SuSE contrdicts it. At least, the plugger shows an unknown device called S3 Incorporated. M7 BIOS VBE 2.0 (and a lot of other things as well, but...), aditionally to the Display.
Does anyone have experience to Savage-cards, or can anyone provide help?
Furthermore, I'd like to know how drivers are added to Linux. Is it simply addinge the file 'blubb_drv.o' to usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers or is there more to do? If there is already a file with similar name, is it right to add somewhrere a 1 e.g. 'blubb_drv1.o'?
I' kinda frustrated of fiddling on the machine for some days... (my aim is to get Lazarus running...)
Thanks for help and sry for my english ;)
