I have an IBM ThinkPad 770E, running Mandriva 2006.1. I recently upgraded my kernel to the latest (2.6.18) and tried to get the sound working on it with version 1.0.12. It all compiles fine, but when it comes to loading up the module, it gives me an error message about an unknown symbol in SND_VERBOSE_PRINTK. Any help here? Most appericated.

Now, I don't even get the unknown symbol junk. Instead, it says that the device is not found. I ran the snddevices script, but it still doesn't like me. Any help?
