Default 915resolution: howto get your 1280x768 screen under Linux

Hello everyone,

Just a word about a utility I've discovered by googling on how to make my screen display 1280x768 like it can do under Windows but didn't want to do under Linux...

The solution is a utility called 915resolution, which can be found here:

http://www.geocities.com/stomljen/

It works wonders for me, and works for many other Intel graphics chipsets too. Here is the line I put in my rc.local:

/usr/local/sbin/915resolution 38 1280 768 24

If you run any sort of DM at boot however, this will have to be done before. Adapt it to your needs/Linux distribution and you're done
