Default Getting LCD Screen and external screen working

OKay, so I have an emachines 6410 laptop (yuk) successfully running the latest and greatest of Gentoo. I have X.org working fine and I even have both the LCD screen and an external CRT screen working at once. However, they are working one as the "LeftOf" the other.

I would like the laptop to respond to the <Fn>+<F4> button like it does in windoze and scroll through LCD, External CRT, LCD + External CRT.
Does anyone know how to do this?

IF that's not possible, can I get the LCD and the CRT to show the same information INSTEAD of spanning desktops which is what it is doing now.?

I've got the fabulous intel 855GM chipset (ha ha...seeping with sarcasm here) and my LCD is a widescreen.

Default i855crt

Did you already try installing and using the i855crt utility to get this functionality on your laptop?
