Battery life
Hey, if you use linux for your main os... will you get a better battery life then windows xp? Just currious.

apps, speed step etc.
I think it depends on what kind of applications you are running and if battery saving techniques like speed-step working on your laptop.
In my experience battery life is almost same with both OS'es though.
