Default ATI 9700 Mobility - ASUS Z9200G

Hi

I have in my ASUS Notebook Z9213G (Z9200G Series) the ATI RADEON MOBILITY 9700 (64MB) and Suse 9.3. From Windows XP I took out, that it uses ASUS A3G (A3000G) drivers. This Card is now in August 2005 only 2D supported not 3D. With the now newest ATI Driver it is configured as some RV350 Chip and in one log file (dpkg -L pciu
tils and lspci -v) I found 128MB for grafic memory. That could be the reason why suspend mode is not working (hanging up).
ACPI (Power saving function) works. I have only 20% less hours of operation with LI-accu compared to Win XP. That means that only power save mode of ATI Graphic is not supported.
Framebuffers 1280x800 pixels is working. So writing of text (office use) is going.
WLAN is Intels 2200, which is only not working, because there is now no way to switch it on by ASUS hotkey combination Fn+F2.
Most of the hotkey combinations result in strange in results. Fn+F12 that starts sometimes suspend or black screen, which can sometimes made undone by Fn+F5.
Fn+F5 or Fn+F6 for screen brightness. Longer/often pressing results changing from brighter to darker.
Perhaps somebody has found a solution for some of the problems.

Greetings Dieter
